Black Widow Spouse 7

After Dominic died, it was time for Laurel to move on. The clock was ticking closely, and she was nearing her adult birthday. She didn't have time to waste on tears.

Laurel stilled planned on marrying either Thorne or Orange, so she decided to hangout at one of the celebrity lounges. Disappointed, all she found was some nobody waiting inside.

Laurel was persistent, though. She was getting closer and closer to her goal by the second, and as luck would have it, Orange decided to visit the lounge.

Though Laurel wasn't all lucky that day. Malcolm decided to stop by the lounge too. Seeing Orange with Laurel, he tried to warn the other man what a huge mistake he was making.

Orange being a celebrity, just rolled his eyes and followed Laurel inside. Malcolm was probably some random, jealous fan.

Back at home, Constance and Yvette had arrived home from school to find Dominic missing. Immediately, she asked Bernard what happened.

As Bernard described the events that transpired, she couldn't believe how clueless he was. No matter how many times she tried to tell him, he just wouldn't believe that Laurel used him to kill Dominic.

If this was how he was going to behave, Laurel didn't want him anywhere near the twins. She shooed him out of the nursery, so she could take care of Serenity and Antoinette.

Though the twins were nearly identical, they were different as night and day. One was fussy and one was independent. Constance would be a good influence on them for as long as she could.

After his run in with Constance, Bernard was starting to doubt the events that took place. Was the reason his mother sent him on his special quest to become a mermaid really to kill Dominic?

Laurel let out a fake life and plastered on a reassuring smile. She told Bernard he was special, and she saw potential in him, just like Yvette, and just like she had Blaze. She only thought he deserved powers. If Dominic happened to go for a swim when he was too tired, well that was on him.

Feeling reassured, Bernard went about his day. He was right. Constance had nothing to worry about.

Things were progressing well with Orange, and it wasn't long until Laurel asked him to marry her.

The two had a small ceremony while the kids were at school, with Serenity, Antoinette, and Dominic's brother Kevin being the only guests.

Laurel gave Kevin a sympathetic hug. She went through all of the motions of acting like a woman who was still upset about her husband's death but was happy to find love again. She was just relieved Kevin believed her.

Liberty, Summer, and Lily Feng had all passed away. Now the only ones that she had to worry about remaining were Malcolm, Nicolas, and Emmett.

It was getting harder and harder for Laurel to act excited and in love with these weddings. Only a few more to go until she was done with this charade.

The kids were dropped off at their new house after school. They'd all been through this before, so none of them were shocked.

They sat doing homework in silence. Constance mad at Bernard, and Yvette not daring to make a noise lest she make the tension between them worse.

Laurel was living the high life. Sure, Sulani was pretty, but she loved the rush, the thrill, the glitz and glam of Del Sol Valley. It was a shame she wouldn't be staying there for long, but she'd enjoy it while she could.

Constance, still angry about how easily Bernard had been swayed by her mother, went for a jog to clear her head.

Clearly, she knew something was afoot as she waited for Constance and Yvette to be a school to have Dominic killed.

Constance was angry at herself for not being there to save him. She was angry that Bernard was now a lost cause.

Orange had his adult birthday, and was feeling down that he was less desirable. Laurel, at this point, didn't care what any of her husbands looked like as she wouldn't be with them for long, but she tried to cheer him up with some woohoo.

One thing lead to another, and Laurel was expecting. Orange was happy because famous babies were always good for publicity. Laurel, on the other hand, was getting tired of these kids. None of them had shown any promise since Yvette. This child would likely end up largely ignored, just like Dominic's twins.

Still, Laurel tried to look at the bright side. Living with Orange came with a lot of money and a nice house.

It was finally time for Constance to become an adult. She was ready, but she felt like a failure. She wasn't able to convince Bernard or Yvette to resist the allure of their mother's offer for attention, and she hadn't been able to stop Dominic's death.

Though Constance had planned to stick around, Laurel simply told her to leave. Laurel had no use for her. Constance tried to plead her case as a live in babysitter, but Laurel wasn't having it. She was done letting useless, ungrateful children live in her house.

Constance tried to make a last ditch effort by trying to convince Bernard to leave with her. However, he just looked at her sadly. He just didn't understand why she hated their mother so much.

Laurel smirked as she watched the exchange. Bernard had gone from a possible traitor to being her loyal minion, and there was nothing anyone could do to stop it.

After Constance was kicked out, it was Yvette's turn to blow out the candles. She was both excited and nervous. Her mother had offered her a special surprise too, but Bernard's special surprised had seemed to be in exchange for Dominic's life.

After her birthday, Yvette had gotten ready for bed, but Laurel rushed downstairs.  Yvette was schocked to see how excited her mother looked.

Laurel gave her a map to Glimmerbrook. She wanted Yvette to travel to the Realm of Magic and meet with the Sage of Untamed Magic.

Yvette couldn't believe it. She was going to be a witch!

After a long taxi ride, and a couple hours of hiking, Yvette stood before a swirling portal. This had to be it. Closing her eyes, she walked through the mist.

She quickly found the Untamed Sage, Morgyn, and was given the task to collect some magical motes to prove her worth as a witch. Morgyn seemed particularly interested in her being Father Winter's daughter, and the powers she might have.

As Morgyn transferred their magical energy to her, Yvette felt the powers that had been inside of her all along finally awakening.

Yvette wasn't sure how long she spent in the Realm of Magic. She spent time learning about potions and spells and even found a familiar to follow her around and prevent her from overusing her magic.

During one of their training sessions, she watch as Morgyn fell to the ground in a lifeless heap. Yvette was stunned. She thought Sages were immortal and incapable of dying.

Yvette did the only thing she could do, plead with the Grim Reaper. To her surprise, she convinced him to bring Morgyn back to life.

During her time in the realm, she was able to do this two more times. She decided to leave to give Morgyn a break before their next session. Surely dying and coming back to life had to tire one out.

Back at home, Laurel was finally giving birth to Orange's child. Instead of shooing her away, she asked Yvette to regale her with her tales of the Realm of Magic.

Laurel was pleased she had picked the right child for the job. Not only had Yvette learned powerful magic, she also had some sort of special relationship with death.

After baby Georgia's birth, life went back to normal. Orange tried his best with Laurel's kids, but they seemed to be a lost cause.

Still mostly ignored, Serenity and Antoinette had their birthdays. They grew up with the Child of the Islands and Vegetarian traits respectively.

Laurel had already put the island power to good use with Bernard. Part of her wished she'd just let Constance take the twins with her. There was nothing they could do for her.

All too soon, it was time for Bernard to grow up and move out. He offered to stay with her, but he had done well by her. She would happily grant him his freedom because he had helped her in ways, he didn't want to fully understand. Bernard let her know to call if she needed anything, and she definitely would take him up on that offer, if the time came.

With the birth of Georgia, it was time to give up on Orange and find someone new. Laurel convinced him to spend some time relaxing in the home sauna.

When it started to get too hot, Laurel excused herself and locked the door.

Soon the steam became too much for him, and the Grim Reaper showed up to collect him.

Laurel had to find somewhere else to stay and soon. With a celebrity like Orange dead before his time, all eyes would be on her.

First, there was something she needed to do. She took Yvette with her to the old Landgraab house, where Blaze's grave still stood.

Now that Yvette was well versed in magic, Laurel asked her to summon Blaze's spirit. It was time for him to come home.

Happy to use her powers for good, or so she thought, Yvette summoned Blaze. Within minutes he was standing in front of him.

Laurel pulled him into a tight hug. She was glad to have him back. He was her most loyal child after all, and he had known she would come back for him when she could.

Before skipping town, Laurel decided to make use of Orange's money and purchase a wishing well. Letting Blaze make a generous offer, she then had him wish to be brought back to life.

With a quick flash of light, Blaze was back, good as new. He was glad to be back among the living, and he was more than ready to help Laurel make her final preparations.

Laurel was glad she was able to circumvent Grim's punishment through the help of Yvette's powers and the wishing well.

Everyone who'd crossed her so far better watch out. With a witch and mermaid on her side, she had two powerful supernatural children. As for Blaze, she had plans in store for him too.
