Black Widow Spouse 5

As soon as they returned home from their wedding, Laurel let Father Winter know she was expecting. With a dazed look in his eyes, he just nodded happily.

Of course, just because she was already pregnant, didn't mean she couldn't consummate the marriage.

Laurel "suggested" Father Winter exercise, hoping he would die of over exertion. Somehow, though, he still survived.

Laurel letting Geoffrey die of old age, did turn out to be just what she needed. People from all over were constantly calling her, offering her jobs, and telling her just how trustworthy she was.

Blaze continued to be Laurel's model child. He did well in school, and he didn't cause trouble.

He even seemed willing to help with her plans. He had picked up on what she was doing, and unlike Emmett and Nicolas, he wasn't outraged.

Constance, and the newly aged up Bernard, were good kids, she supposed. They were just too fussy, and she really didn't have too much time to devote attention to them.

She had to keep Father Winter placated and plan her next victim.

Laurel was even getting help from some of her former flames to find new victims. Things couldn't have been going better for her.

Though Laurel was "too busy" to pay attention to her children, Father Winter was more than happy to spend time with them. He didn't know where these children came from, but he wanted to make them happy.

He didn't understand why there were so many ghosts hanging around either. Where was he?

Constance, however, was fascinated by the ghosts. She'd never seen anything like them before, and she thought they were amazing. She wanted to make one too.

Soon, it was Constance's birthday. Laurel was thrilled that she showed signs of interest in her plans, just like Blaze.

Father Winter continued to be under Laurel's spell and helped out with childcare.

He was doing her bidding, and he was taking care of her children. She really couldn't ask for much more.

The time eventually came for Laurel to give birth to her next child, a little girl named Yvette.

Though she loved the free childcare, it was time to cut Father Winter loose and move on to her next target.

Laurel enjoyed the look of horror on his face when she let him know what happened. At first, he thought she was joking, but as his memory came flooding back, he realized that it very much was not a joke.

Now that he knew what was happening, Father Winter was locked in a room. Now all Laurel had to do was wait for him to die.

She laughed as she heard him banging on the door, pleading her to change her mind. Her mind was already made up. Now turning back now.

Neither Blaze nor Constance seemed to be bothered by what Laurel was doing. Good, she need children like that.

Constance even began bonding with her younger sister. Laurel could only hope that Constance could influence her to be a part of the cause, even if Constance didn't quite know what that cause was.

Blaze and Constance became quite close and were soon as thick as thieves.

Blaze made sure Constance knew about their awful older brothers, Emmett and Nicolas, and how they wanted to take the two of them away from their mother. Mother was right and they were wrong. Since Constance had never met them, she just blindly agreed. Her older brother wouldn't steer her wrong, would he?

Father Winter kept surviving every attempt Laurel made to kill him. She was getting more and more agitated by the second. Maybe he really wasn't worth all the trouble. There had to be a way to get rid of him, though. No one could escape death.

It was time for Bernard to have his birthday. With Father Winter out of the picture, Laurel was happy to have one less dependent child to take care of.

Bernard grew up to be a child of the ocean. Laurel wasn't sure if his powers would be very useful or not considering they lived in the middle of the desert.

He started rambling a mile a minute, wanting Laurel's attention. Laurel just smiled and nodded. Bernard didn't show too much promise to her, but she had to keep an open mind. She didn't want a repeat of what happened with Nicolas and Emmett.

Yvette also had her birthday. Laurel was quite pleased with her. Even though she was also fussy, she was glad that her children were starting to take after her in the looks department. She didn't want the vampire genes to be gone completely.

With Father Winter's clock ticking down, it was time for Laurel to look for someone new.

Though she had previously written off Dominic and his brother due to their lack of jobs, when she heard that Dominic just purchased a large mansion in Sulani, she decided to give him a second chance. Maybe Bernard could even put his powers to use there.

While Laurel was busy wooing, Emmett decided to take a gamble and stop by. Now that Blaze was a teenager, maybe he could convince him to leave Laurel.

Emmett quickly learned that Blaze was a lost cause, however. He liked what their mother was doing. It was horrifying to listen to him talk about their mother's victims with such glee.

Emmett quickly fled back home, and let Malcolm and Nicolas know about Blaze. They'd have to be careful with that one.

Blaze wasn't the only one happy to follow in their mother's footsteps. Constance helped her mother out whenever Dominic visited, playing the sad little girl who just wanted a real family and a real father to take care of her.

Unlike his siblings, Bernard wasn't too sure of what was going on. He didn't understand how Constance and Blaze could just be fine with what their mother was doing. He had heard them mention two other brothers that had left. Maybe he could look into them when he was older. He wasn't sure he was cut out to be a murderer.

Constance got some sad news when she learned that her father passed away. It wasn't fair! He was supposed to be safe, unlike the men her mother married.

She spent her nights roaming around looking for his ghost, without any luck. Why did these stupid,  pathetic men show up, but her father was nowhere to be seen? For the first time Constance was starting to have doubts. If her own father wasn't safe from dying, what was the point in all of this?

Blaze was living the high life, as his mother's current favorite child. This however, lead him to be a little reckless. While trying to make some food, he accidentally set himself on fire. It wasn't a big deal, though. In his mind, Laurel would never let anything happen to him.

He even took to social media to brag about beating death.

Laurel walked by with a sigh. Maybe Blaze wasn't all she though he was. He was cocky like her, but maybe a little too cocky.

It wasn't long before Blaze's attitude caught up with him.

One afternoon, he stayed outside in the harsh desert sun. He began to feel a little woozy, but he thought nothing of it. He was practically invincible.

However, as Blaze was only human, he was not invincible.

Laurel ran outside as she heard Constance scream. At first, she stood there paralyzed from shock. Her children weren't supposed to die. This wasn't part of the plan.

As soon as the grim reaper showed up, Laurel begged and begged for Blaze's life. For the first time ever, her pleading was sincere.

Grim, however, was not having any part of it. This was Laurel's punishment for all the lives she took before. She had no regard for human life, so why should he believe she truly cared about her son?

For the first time since she started her mission, Laurel knew what true heartbreak felt like.

She couldn't even enjoy the fact that as soon as Grim collected Blaze's soul, he went to get Father Winter.

With the death of her beloved son, this meant nothing to her.

Over in San Myshuno, Emmett and Nicolas had just heard the news of both Blaze's and Father Winter's deaths. They were in shock that their mother let Blaze die considering she was unwilling to give him up.

Emmett heard a knock on the door and was surprised to find Constance outside. She was just a baby when he and Nicolas left, so he didn't know how she even knew him.

Constance was furious about what happened with both her father and Blaze. She was beginning to have doubts about her mother, and she had looked up Emmett and Nicolas's address. She wanted out. This was too much for her to bear.

Emmett's heart ached for her. She was still just a child, however, he was surprised to learn that she wanted in on their plan to take down their mother. Though he wasn't sure he could trust her, Constance offered to be a spy on the inside. Only time would tell if she really  meant what she promised.
