Black Widow Spouse 3

Laurel didn't waste much time looking for future prospects after she married Victor. She was already pregnant, after all, so Victor's life was basically a ticking clock.

Sure he was a great family man, so Laurel didn't have to worry much about childcare, but if she wanted to prove to Vlad that she was a true vampire, even if it wasn't in her DNA, she had to dispose of these men as quickly as possible.

Laurel traveled back to Sulani to chat up the two doctors she met. She was none too happy to learn that they no longer had their jobs. Without a large cashflow, they were of little interest to her.

That didn't mean she couldn't treat herself to a beach day, though. She was going to get something out of her trip to Sulani.

Victor was a much more active parent than Diego was, that's for sure. He even pitched in with teaching Emmett most of his basic skills.

Life with Victor Feng settled into a dull, but much needed routine.

Laurel took up knitting. She thought it would make her seem more motherly and innocent, and it also gave her something to do, as she passed the time plotting Victor's demise.

Victor woke up, went to work, made sure to spend time with her and the boys, and always gave her a kiss goodnight.

Nicolas was also thriving. He was doing quite well in school, and was happy to have a father that he believed was sticking around.

Both guys from Sulani were officially off her list, once she saw that they were becoming good friends with Victor. She didn't need another pesky friend of her deceased husband, like Liberty, poking around.

She also saw Nicolas out there with them quite often, and she really didn't have it in her to break his heart. The less he knew the men she was killing, the better.

When Winterfest rolled around, Laurel played the part of the dutiful wife, cooking up the grand meal.

Since it was a day off for everyone, they gathered around the table in their pajamas, Nicolas and Victor chattering away about what a good cook she was and how excited they were for Winterfest.

Laurel didn't care much for the holiday, aside from the presents, so she gritted her teeth and pretended to be excited as well. She had to keep up the façade.

Both Nicolas and Victor insisted on putting up a tree and decorating it with the most gaudy, tasteless ornaments Laurel had ever seen. She used her pregnancy as an excuse to get out of participating. She was "too tired" this close to her due date.

She also didn't stick around to watch Emmett and Nicolas open up their presents. She was sure Victor bought them something nice enough.

As the day wore on, Laurel began to feel the familiar pangs of labor. Victor wanted to rush her to the hospital right away, but she insisted on staying home and not wanting to ruin Winterfest for the boys.

In reality, she wanted to see what kind of present Father Winter had in store for her. Hopefully it was something expensive.

Father Winter, however, must have had some idea what she was up to because all she got was a rancid smelling package with poop inside. She tried to play along, as if it was some kind of joke, but by the look he was giving her, she was worried he somehow knew too much.

As Winterfest drew to a close, Laurel gave birth to a son named Blaze.

Between the exhaustion of having a child, and her worry that Father Winter somehow knew what she was up to, Laurel marked this off as having been one of the worst Winterfests she had experienced.

As Father Winter left, she breathed a huge sigh of relief. She hoped that old man minded his own business.

Little Emmett, woke up in the middle of the night, hungry for some food. When he sat down with his meal, he saw a scary, angry man floating by. Why did this man look like this, and why was he so angry?

In the weeks after Winterfest, Laurel invited Tamachi, the repairman, over. She hadn't seen much of him since she left Travis's place.

Thankfully, they were able to pick right up where they left off.

A couple of months later, Laurel found out she was expecting again.

When Laurel told Victor the news, he was thrilled. He didn't even seem to realize it was very unlikely the child was his.

Laurel knew her time with Victor had pretty much come to an end. She spent extra time with Emmett and Nicolas because she knew they would be hit hard. Sometimes, that's just the way things worked, though.

Laurel had finally come up with a plan that would surely make Victor's death look like an accident. pufferfish nigiri. Everyone knew how dangerous it was. Even the vendor selling it, made sure that Laurel knew the risks. She just smiled and thanked her, and went on her way.

She wrapped up the dish, and stuck it in the freezer for when the time came. First, she had to scout out a new potential spouse.

City living was getting old, and with Diego, and soon to be Victor, "disappearing" it was probably a good time to move on anyway.

She drove around scouting out houses, before stopping at the Landgraab mansion. This would do nicely.

She met the family's patriarch, Geoffrey, who was already quite old. If Laurel timed this right, she wouldn't have to get her hands dirty at all.

Geoffrey didn't reject her advances either. Why should he? He was a sad old man, and someone as beautiful as her was paying him attention.

Finally the day had arrived to end things with Victor. Laurel waited with baited breath as he grabbed the plate of pufferfish nigiri she had picked up. He didn't even seem to worried about.

He told Laurel, he knew she was a good chef, so her dish had to be perfectly safe.

To Laurel's surprise, Victor ate the dish and remained unscathed. She tried to hide her disappointment. Luckily for her, Victor liked it so much, he wanted seconds.

And with that, Victor ate his last meal.

That same night, Blaze had his birthday. Laurel was pleased to see he looked just like her. He was clingy, but she didn't mind if he hung around. Maybe she could teach him her ways. Teach him how to be powerful and strong and live up to his last name.

With Victor gone, it was time to convince Geoffrey to leave Nancy. Thankfully, that wasn't very hard to do. After doing some digging, Laurel found out he had an estranged son from a past affair. Clearly the Landgraabs' relationship wasn't rock solid.

It wasn't long before their wedding day arrived.

Malcolm reluctantly came to watch his father get married. Again. It wasn't that he was close to his mom at all, if anything Geoffrey would look like he was going through a  midlife crisis. The only problem was, he had been there at Laurel's other weddings, even if she didn't see them. Something was definitely going on there. No one was unlucky enough to lose three spouses in that short amount of time.

Laurel watched as Nicolas tried to get to know his newest step-father. He had a strange look on his face. She felt a pit form in her stomach. Hopefully Nicolas wasn't able to figure out what was really going on.
